Where I've been and what I've been doing

I realise I’ve been away again for a long time. So this blog entry will be a bit of a data dump. As always I’ve been mega busy with work and we are just starting to arrange a house extension which is taking a lot more of my time than I thought it would.

Hopefully you saw Tom (The Smoke Faced Grilla) and I on his show “The Gravel Pit” last night. If you missed it, head over to his page and check it out. There I announced my new blog and live cook series called “Nice to “Grill” you”.

When I haven’t been project managing the house build that hasn’t even started yet I’ve been working on this little idea for a while. At last I’m ready to go live! One thing that has really amazed me over the last year and a bit is just how fantastic the BBQ community is. I really do love being a part of it. If you’re reading this then you will already know that but hopefully this series will bring us all a little bit closer together.

So my idea is to interview various BBQ and food accounts that I follow and engage with. We all comment and like each others posts which is great, but I want to get to know these people more and thought it would be fun to learn a little bit about them - who is the person behind the logo? How many of us would just walk straight past Artustbbq in the street and not even realise?! Ok that’s a bad example but I’m sure you get my meaning! I have a list of questions that may change as we go but it is certainly a start. I’m not going to stop at personal accounts either, I’ve got a couple of really great brands lined up that you will all have heard of and most likely have tried their products.

First up I have a great account in Scotts Foods. I love Scotts cooks, particularly his amazing burgers and awesome pizzas. Also if you’ve been keeping up with Big K’s steak or break competition you would go seen his incredible steaks!
